CityKids Ministry

The goal of CityKid's Ministry is to provide different environments for children to be loved, have fun, and to learn the word of God. It is our hope that through these environments, children will learn to pray, worship God, and how to live Gospel Centered Lives through intentional discipleship. Additionally, our desire and hope is to support the whole family unit and encourage each member to see their role in changing their respective world for Christ.

We believe church should be fun, inviting, and warm for all members especially children. It is our passion to make sure children would consider Sundays their best hour of the week.

General FAQ

How does CityKid's drop off and pick up work?

Once you enter the lobby area, there will be a check-in table for your family to create a profile, it is required. Once the profile has been created, a child name tag and a parent name tag will print. Parent's must place their child's name tag somewhere visible on their children's clothing. For parents to pick up their child, parents must hand their parent tag to the teacher to take their children out of the classroom. So, please be sure to keep the parent tag.

When should I not drop off my child to CityKids?

Children must be symptom free from the following illness without medication for 24 hours before entering the classroom:

  • Fever of 100 degrees or higher
  • Vomiting or Diarrhea
  • Conjunctivitis (pink eye/ eye infection)
  • Green/yellow nasal drainage
  • Sore Throat
  • Open Sores
  • Cold
  • Excessive Co

Who will care for my child?

All classes are led by designated teachers who will provide weekly lessons and will be assisted by trained volunteers. All teachers and assistants have completed an application process, which include background checks. They are also required to attend quarterly training sessions which trains them how to better care and nurture the children as well as reinforces their understanding of our policies. Additionally, they are entrusted to teach children about the Gospel through their own lives and encouraged to make the commitment to themselves to be responsible for building a strong spiritual foundation within the hearts of the children.

The adult-child ratio are closely monitored to ensure optimal care for the children. Especially for the nursery and preschool, should the classroom exceed the appropriate ratio, the director may ask a parent to volunteer. If a parent is not available, we may ask a member to volunteer who has been approved by the director or supervisor. The volunteer will also be paired with a teacher or assistant who has had a background check performed on them. Finally, all approved youth volunteers will be at least 12 years old and will always be paired with an adult.

How does CityKids handle allergies?

If your child has any allergies or special conditions, it is your responsibility to explain them fully to the director or classroom teacher.  Be sure to inform the check-in desk as well so it can be notated within the family profile and printed onto your child's name tag.
